FCI is basic federal contract information, the emails, orders, and drawings for a job. If you work on federal contracts, you almost certainly handle it. Level 1 is 15 safeguards, you attest to it yourself, and most businesses finish in about 30 days.
CUI is controlled unclassified information, the sensitive material marked CUI or covered by DFARS 252.204-7012. Level 2 covers all 110 NIST 800-171 requirements, and the 15 Level 1 safeguards are already inside them. The check walks you through the right list for you.
